Join us for our next Renfrew Webinar, What are you Waiting for? The Possibilities of Long-Term Recovery. Jen Nardozzi, PsyD will interview Kristen Moeller about how she has maintained long-term recovery and Kristen will share from her recently published book, Waiting for Jack.

About Kristen
Kristen Moeller is living proof of the joy that long-term recovery can bring. At age 23, her future seemed hopeless. Now, 21 years later, she knows that life happens, there will be bumps in the road – both minor and major – and we can move through all of it while maintaining our center and not losing ourselves. She also has realized success beyond her wildest imagination. She attributes all of this to developing a strong foundation of recovery from the beginning and continually placing that before all things. Now, a bestselling author, speaker, radio show host and coach, she spreads her message of not waiting for someday to come. Instead, with willingness and action, we can live a life of recovery now.

Renfrew Clinic Celebrates 25 Year Anniversary in Philadelphia

by KYW’s Jim Melwert

The nation's leading authority on eating disorders, based right here in Philadelphia is celebrating 25 years.

The Renfrew Center's original facility was opened here in 1985:

"It was the first in the country exclusively devoted to treating eating disorders as clinics go."

Founder and president Sam Menaged says things certainly have changed, since Renfrew began twenty-five years ago:

"In 1985, when we opened there was no eating disorder field. Today, you can say there's a field. There are self help groups around the country, there are family foundations. There are lobby groups."

Renfrew has treated 55,000 women and now has facilities in nine states.

The Transformative Power of Self-Love
A FREE Webinar for Those in Recovery

Tuesday, March 23, 2010
12:00pm - 1:15pm EDT

or

Wednesday, March 24, 2010
7:30pm - 8:15pm EDT

What would your day be like if you lived it completely from a place of self-love? Would you hide away from life or would you step out and take risks? Would you engage in eating disorder symptoms or would you be kind and gentle to your body? Would you wear masks or would you reveal your authentic self?

In this webinar, we will explore the topic of self-love and the powerful difference practicing self-love can make in how we experience life. You will have an opportunity to reflect on where you are on your journey to self-love and what it is that may be blocking your way. In addition, you will have the chance to set personal goals for integrating practices into your day that tap into the source of all change in your life—self-love.

This webinar will feature Mary Curtis, Renfrew alumna and founder of Authentic Communication Techniques—a company focused on assisting people in enhancing their interpersonal communication skills from the inside out. She will share personal insights and experiences, as well as tools that continue to support her on her journey to an authentic life.

**Please note that this webinar is for those who are recovering from an eating disorder.**

The Art of Letting Go

A FREE Webinar for Those in Recovery

Thursday, October 15, 2009
12:00 pm - 1:30 pm EST
and
9:00 pm - 10:30 pm EST

Eating disorder recovery is a series of acts of letting go, which no longer serve your highest good. There are many things we hold onto that can suppress our highest self: thought patterns, behaviors, relationships, and even grudges to name a few. For many of us, letting go can be a struggle for various reasons. We hold on to things out of comfort, familiarity, sentimentality, or denial. Simply, we do not know another way. Facing our fears of letting go is often more difficult than the actual process of releasing.

In this webinar, we will discuss how to release the fixations in your life that are stopping you from fully recovering from your eating disorder. Liesel Winchester, a Renfrew alumna, will share her story and experience of how she continues to let go of her eating disorder to find healing and happiness.
**Please note that this webinar is for those who are recovering from an eating disorder.
